We are looking for a Communications & Engagement Lead, Information Management (IM) to join our team!

The IM Communications & Engagement Lead ensures that IM’s strategic direction, initiatives, and successes are effectively communicated, understood, and embraced across the organization, reinforcing IM’s image as a trusted, value-adding partner for all Wärtsilä businesses and Global Functions.

We are looking for a dynamic, charismatic communications professional responsible for creating, shaping and delivering the IM organization’s purpose, narratives, and event experiences to all internal stakeholders. This role focuses on crafting and promoting IT service marketing concepts, orchestrating memorable events, and acting as a visible and approachable spokesperson for IM. The location for this position is Wärtsilä Campus in Salmisaari, Helsinki, Finland. We work in hybrid mode.

Your role and responsibilities 

• Develop and execute comprehensive IM communication plans aligned with strategic priorities, IM service marketing, ongoing transformation efforts, and major IM hosted events in close collaboration with IM management team
• Conceptualize and deliver internal IT service marketing campaigns and materials that simplify technical content & concepts and promote IM offerings internally
• Act as a lead host and moderator for internal IT events and design and facilitate workshops and panel sessions to engage leaders, teams, and key influencers,
• Manage internal communication channels to foster transparency, dialogue, and a sense of IM community
• Regularly gather feedback through surveys, focus groups, and metrics to refine communications strategies and drive continuous improvement
• Partner with HR and Marketing and Communications to align roll-out and messaging with organizational culture, values, and people initiatives
• Cooperate with key stakeholders, such as IM Business Partners, ICT Service Operations, BPS, product teams, and change management personnel to integrate communication into broader ongoing transformation

To succeed in this role, you need to have:

• Proven track record and experience in internal communications, service marketing, event management, or a related field and can engage with stakeholders at all organizational levels
• You are charismatic and confident and have strong experience in hosting events and moderating group discussions, and using storytelling techniques to captivate diverse audiences
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related discipline
• Familiarity with enterprise IT environments or technology functions is highly valuable
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex IT concepts into clear, compelling messages
